Oscars 2015 // Red Carpet Favorites

Hi everyone! I'm going to try and start putting out more content, especially during the week. Award shows are one of my favorite things about this time of year. Everyone always looks so glamorous, but I'm going to share my very favorite ensembles from the Oscars Red Carpet last night.
***None of the photos included in this post were taken by me, I'll do my best to give credit where it is due***

I love with this look. Anna's makeup and hair look flawless. The dress i so gorgeous, I absolutely love the style and way it falls. This is one of my favorite colors, and it looks amazing on her. I also really like the silver neckline and and matching jewelry

Jamie Chung is literally wearing fireworks and I'm obsessed with this dress. I seriously wish I could wear this dress to prom. The nude and navy perfectly complement each other so well and are a great neutral backdrop for the sparkly silver bursts.

I always love a classic black dress. Margot Robbie's look is so elegant, and I love that it was paired with bold red lips. I'm not a huge fan of the necklace, but it did work well with the deep neckline. I also really like the sheer sleeves, they add a little uniqueness to this dress.

I'm not sure where to begin with this dress. I love everything about it. I like that it's not overly extravagant, but the simplicity is what makes it a really pretty dress. I also like that the necklace doesn't take away from the rest of the look.

I'm not usually a fan of white dresses, but I can definitely make an exception if it's made almost entirely of pearls! Lupita always looks stunning, but this dress is on another level. From top to bottom, this is such an incredible gown.

The fact that so many dresses are covered in beautiful sparkly jewels this year is so satisfying. Jennifer looks amazing in this dress and I'm so in love with the subtle cutouts and lines at the top. I'm so glad that she didn't add too much jewelry, as this dress doesn't need it.

I may have to take back what I said about white dresses earlier. This is such a beautiful dress. I love plunging necklines, especially when the rest of the dress is more simple. The beading is so elegant. I also have to point out her clutch, because wow.

I couldn't make this post without mentioning a few of the very well dressed men that walked the red carpet, so here's some honorable mentions for my favorite male looks:

Overall there were some incredible looks on the Red Carpet last night. Personally, I always love the gowns that look simple but have amazing details. Neil Patrick Harris did a great job hosting, as expected. What were your favorite Oscar moments?

Snow Day

It's been below freezing for almost an entire week, which has meant bundling up in layers and layers of clothing. However, it's also meant that the ground is covered in snow and ice. While some consider this a big headache, especially those who have to drive in icy conditions, I found something quite pretty in all the cold.

The icicles formed by this frozen waterfall were amazing, and so interesting to photograph. Like snowflakes, each one was different, as they would have frozen over time. The whole lake was so pretty, especially near sunset.

I love summer, but winter can be kind of amazing too. If you ignore the fact that your nose gets so cold it feels like an ice cube on your face, and your fingers often feel like they are going to fall off. I'm so ready for it to warm up, and for Spring to come.

I hope you enjoyed this photography post, I've been trying to get out and take more photos, like I did over summer. If you did like this post, let me know by leaving a comment! As always, don't forget to follow Shutterblush on Bloglovin' and never miss a post!

Blush

I promised to share the outfit I wore on my birthday so here it is! All photos were taken by my mom. I had been looking for a nice blazer for a while and happened to find this one at target on clearance. I immediately starting looking on Pinterest for outfits and put this together. I wore this ensemble out to dinner but you could switch out jeans and the tshiry for dress pants and a nice shirt for a more professional look.

I also love wearing this booties in winter, they're the most comfortable heels I own and I can wear short socks without them being seen.
