//MAC Navy Times Nine Eyeshadow Palette // The colors in this palette are so nice, and go so well together.
// Marc Jacobs Fragrance Daisy Dream // I have the original Daisy perfume, but I've only tested this one in stores.
// NARS Blush/Bronzer Duo // This duo seems to be in every beauty vlogger's collection.
// Philosophy Purity Made Simple // I've tried so many different facial cleansers, and Philosophy products are always amazing.
// Urban Decay Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette // Who hasn't wished they owned the Naked palettes?

One of my most pointless hobbies is 'window shopping online.' By this I mean building a cart full of amazing clothing items, and then closing the window because I can't afford half of it. I do this with makeup as well, and lust over all the amazing products that I should save up for. Some of the products I've been loving lately are pictured above.

Senior Prom

If you follow me on Instagram, you have already seen my dress but I wanted to share a few more shots on here. If you know me at all, you know that I chose a dress in my favorite color, and I'm so glad I did. I debated getting something more neutral, but so many people had black or white or navy, and I'm glad I went with a brighter option.

Prom was such a fun time, even though the AC went out at our venue! They had to open doors and people actually went outside because it was cooler. It was so nice to see everyone all dressed up and take so many pictures. We had DJ, and although I'm not really a dancer, I found myself in the middle of the dance floor surrounded by friends. It was also good to see prom court, and watch one of my good friends be crowned prom queen!

I bought my dress from Macy's, and it's currently on sale for under $80! It also comes in coral and lavendar, if you don't love mint as much as I do. Macy's has so many other options if you are still looking for a prom dress. I know my school's prom was pretty early compared to other area schools.

Lilly for Target Launch

I delayed this post, and didn't post it on Sunday afternoon, so that the aftermath of the Lilly for Target launch could settle in. I also want to say that I'm not trying to show off! I loved seeing what everyone was able to purchase and reading about their chaotic experiences, so I hope you'l enjoy this post too.

Lilly for Target officially launched on Sunday (April 19), a day that will go down in history. Target was off to a rocky start with some leaks online and then everything was sold out online within an hour of the launch. A lot of people were able to get the items they wanted online, but I was too late. Instead, I had to brave the crowds at the biggest Target store in my area.

I arrived about twenty minutes before the store opened, and there were already about fifty women and their daughters lined up. Everyone's fathers were waiting in the car too. I had no idea that Lilly would be this big of a deal in Missouri. If you follow me on twitter, you have already seen these photos, but here they are:

It was complete chaos when the doors opened. Women raced into the store and basically grabbed everything they could. Instead of looking at actual items, I reached for everything in my size. After all the racks were emptied, my mom and I hid in the men's section to go through our basket. I ended up putting a lot of stuff back, including a shirt I'd grabbed that was two sizes too big.

Once people went into the fitting rooms, there was a group of people waiting for what they decided didn't fit. This was how I got my Sea Urchin For You dress. I put some stuff onto that rack, and it barely touched the bar before women were grabbing it! I was impressed with the prices and the clothing, but not the execution of the launch.

There should have been more items available, and in a larger section. There were big posters in the store and Target made such a big deal out of this on social media. I was pretty disappointing to see only four racks of women's clothing. There was only two end caps of accessories and one with the beauty items.

I discussed this with my marketing teacher, and we decided that from a business standpoint, the launch went okay. Obviously, everyone is talking about Target and Lilly Pulitzer, which is what they wanted. Huge news and media outlets published stories about the event. However, a lot of people are mad. The supply clearly obviously not match the demand. Combine this with the demographic of shoppers, and it result in craziness.

Like I said, I did manage to walk out with a few good items, which are below.

I really have loved reading everyone's blog posts about the madness at Target and seeing their hauls. Some of my favorites included:

What do you all think about everything being on eBay? To be honest, I think it's ridiculous that people bought so much just to resell. The prices on eBay are ridiculous. The jumpsuit I bought was $40 but I found it online for $120. Honestly, don't buy anything on eBay! If you are willing to spend that much, buy directly from Lilly Pulitzer!

Spring Flowers

So, today is my senior prom, which is crazy. It feels like I was getting ready for the first day of high school just a couple weeks ago. The end of the school year is getting so close, I can't wait to graduate! As spring progresses, everything has gotten so much prettier. These flowers in my neighborhood began to bloom and I couldn't resist taking some photos. I've been so busy lately, so this blog post isn't anything too special. Just a quick update and some photos I hope you'll enjoy.

Spring is one of my favorite times of the year. The air gets warmer and everything seems fresh. It's so much better to spend time outside, because it's not too cold or too hot. There are a lot of outfit posts I'm planning that will come soon, since it's so much easier to shoot in this weather! I love that everything gets a little more colorful instead of the dull brown or white of winter.

With the end of my high school career in just a few short weeks, I thought I'd let you all know what to expect in the next month or so. There will definitely be prom and graduation posts. I also went camping last weekend, but forgot my memory card, so there will be an iphone-photo post coming about that. Like I mentioned earlier, there are several fashion posts in the works so you can look forward to those!

Lauren Conrad // Minnie Mouse Collection

Lauren Conrad is one of my biggest style inspirations. When she announced there would be another Disney inspired collection at Kohl's, I was so excited. It's no secret I love Disney, and the Cinderella collection was so adorable. I thought this one would be based on Belle, since Disney is working on a live-action Beauty and the Beast, but it's actually Minnie Mouse! So far, we only know a few things about the collection. There will be ears and a lot of polka dots. Twenty pieces will be available, including shoes. You can start shopping on May 11th.

I wish this collection would have launched in March, before I went to Disney World, but I'm still going to shop it in May. While all of the red, black and white are adorable, I love the subtle tribute in the blue look below. I can't wait for the entire collection to launch!

Wilderness Explorer

The weather has been so nice lately, so when I had an early release from school I decided it would be the perfect day to something outdoors. A friend and I drove out to a state park nearby with lots of hiking trails and camping. We didn't have that much time, so we did a short two mile loop. It was enough to take some photos and feel like I'd done something active. I can't wait to head back and do a longer trail when the trees have more flowers and leaves.

The trail we took included crossing this creek. Surprisingly, the water wasn't that cold and we've only had a couple warm days this year. This day made me so excited for summer, and with only a few short weeks until I graduate high school, it's feeling so close.

I've never been an extremely active person. I'll walk my dog around the block but I always put off exercise. I blame it on not having enough time, or the weather. I really do hope I can make myself get off the couch more this year though!

Turquoise, Navy & Gold

Happy Easter Everyone! I hope you're enjoying chocolate and family time if you celebrate. If not, hopefully a day off school like I have!
I bought this chevron dress at a little shop in Gulf Shores, Alabama over spring break and immediately wore it out to dinner on the beach, so I can't wait to wear it again. I'd been looking at chevron dresses for spring, but they all seemed so pricey. I was lucky to score this dress for only $14.99. The material is so lightweight and flowy, so it'll take me from spring to summer seamlessly.

The gold detail on the neck means I don't need a necklace, but it also goes perfectly with my new Tinker Bell Alex and Ani Bangle that I purchased at Disney World. I'm so in love with this bangle, as Tinker Bell is one of my favorite Disney characters. All Alex and Ani bangles adjustable, so they are made to fit everyone.

It's still felt like winter for the last couple of weeks in the midwest, but it's finally starting to warm up! After my taste of warm weather in Florida and Alabama, I can't wait for it to really be spring here.

March Favorites

Favorite Accessory // Tinker Bell Bangle by Alex and Ani //
I'd been looking at Alex and Ani bracelets online for a long time, and decided that I would get one while in Disney World. I debated between the Cinderella Castle and Tinker Bell for the longest time, but once I saw them in person, I decided on Tinker Bell.

Favorite Clothing Item // Seaside Logo Tee Short Sleeve by Southern Shirt Company //
While I was in Alabama, I bought my first Southern Shirt Company shirt, and I am so pleased with my purchase. It's one of the comfiest shirts I've ever owned.

Favorite Shoe // Chuck Taylor Fresh Colors (Beach Glass) by Converse //
I love my converse for most seasons, but I usually only wear this color in spring, so I brought them out this month.

Favorite Skin Care Item // Vineyard Peach Body Butter by The Body Shop //
One of my mom's friends introduced me to The Body Shop's Vineyard Peach scent and I absolutely love it!

Favorite Fragrance // Daisy Eau de Toilette by Marc Jacobs //
This has been one of my favorite fragrances for the longest time, but I love bringing it out for spring.

Favorite Nail Polish // Blossom Dandy by Essie //
I love the new spring collection by Essie, and this mint hue is my absolute favorite.

Favorite Movie // Big Hero 6 //
I finally watched this about two weeks ago, and it's such a good movie! I can't think of a Disney movie that I haven't liked, but I love that the latest Disney movies have such a modern feel.
